Maria Concetta Di Natale

Full Professor of Museology and History of Collecting and Director of the Department of Culture and Society at the University of Palermo. From January 2013 she is a member of the Academic Senate. In November 2015, she was designated by the Rector as Delegate for the enhancement of educational and scientific activities related to Cultural Heritage. She has written studies on Sicilian painting and miniatures from the 14th and 16th centuries and on goldsmithery and applied arts of the 14th-16th centuries, and has participated in many publications. She collaborates with many specialized magazines. She is the curator of numerous exhibitions and related catalogs. In 1984 she founded “L’archivio Fotografico delle Arti Minori in Sicilia” (AFAMIS). Since 1998 she is part of the dell’Accademia di Scienze Lettere e Arti già del Buon Gusto di Palermo. She is the Scientific Curator of the Museo Diocesano of Palermo. In 2009 she founded the l’Osservatorio per le Arti Decorative in Italia “Maria Accascina” which she directs. She is also Scientific Director of the on-line magazine OADI.
